Time: 6.30pm - 9.30pm
40 Queen Street, Waiuku
Relax, enjoy, and create your own unique decorative Lil' House with Bex from R Ceramics.
In this workshop held at The Stable Light Gallery creative space in Waiuku, Bex from R Ceramics (@r__ceramics) will begin with a demonstration of how to make a charming Lil' House using basic pottery hand-building slab techniques. You’ll then go through the process with her support, creating a house designed and decorated by you.
Bex will (carefully) take your creation home. She will bisque fire it, glaze it in your choice of white or clear and will then do a final firing. Your piece will be ready 3-4 weeks later for collection from The Stable Light Gallery in Waiuku.
No need to bring anything but yourself on the day – all materials, aprons, and ideas (if you want them) are provided.
Suitable for beginners & ages 12+
No skills required; everything is provided, from the template to plenty of encouragement!
Includes all materials, clay, tools, glazes, firing & tutoring
Light refreshments provided
The finished fired size of your house will be approx: 11.5cm (h) x 6.5cm (w) x 7.5cm (d)
The workshop starts at 6.30pm, but you are welcome to arrive a little earlier to have a look through the Gallery itself.
Parking is available on the main road. The Gallery is located down the alleyway behind the Unichem Pharmacy.
Please note that spaces are limited. No refunds are available if you are no longer able to attend (however, your ticket can be transferred for someone else to come in your place). A minimum number of 8 people are required for the workshop to take place. In the unfortunate event that the event has to be cancelled, then you will be refunded fully.
