Cookie's & Clay - Kids School Holiday Pottery Workshop

Please note: Tickets are to be purchased for a child only (8-14yrs) & a parent/caregiver MUST be able to stay on-site at the Your Local Brew Bar Cafe for the duration of the workshop.

A hands-on pottery workshop for little people (8-14yrs), where they can craft their own keepsake clay dish/bowl while enjoying a cup of fluffy or hot chocolate & a cookie. 

In this 1.5hr creative pottery workshop, Bex will begin with a brief demonstration of how to make a clay dish using basic pottery hand-building slab/pinch techniques. The child will then go through the process with her support, creating their very own dish/bowl.

Bex will take the creation home. She will bisque-fire it, glaze it in a choice of white, clear or pink, then do a final firing. The keepsake piece will be ready approx. 3 weeks later for collection from Your Local Brew Bar.

- For ages 8-14yrs.
- No skills required; everything is provided (aprons included).
- Includes all (non-toxic) materials, clay, tools, glazes, firing & tutoring.
- A delicious Your Local hot drink/fluffy & sweet treat will be provided as they create.

Please note that spaces are limited. No refunds are available if you are no longer able to attend (however, your ticket can be transferred for someone else to come in your place). A minimum number of 8 people are required for the workshop to take place. In the unfortunate event that the event has to be cancelled, then you will be refunded fully.

By purchasing a ticket for your child, you acknowledge that ceramics involves the use of tools (sharp objects) that carry some risk of injury. You agree for your child to participate voluntarily, at their own risk, and release both the facilitator (R Ceramics) and the venue host (Your Local Coffee Roasters) from any liability for injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during the session. By purchasing this ticket, you also agree to stay on-site at the Your Local Brew Bar cafe for the duration of the workshop should you be required to attend to your child.
